Summer Intensive 2018 – Audition Deadline

All applicants must audition for the Summer Intensive program. Our open audition has passed, but you may schedule an alternate audition or video submission by April 15 by emailing [email protected].
Summer Intensive Audition Video Submission
Click HERE to register (an audition fee of $20 will be charged upon registration) and note “Video Submission” in the registration comments at the bottom of the page. For more information please e-mail [email protected]. ~~~ Video submissions will be accepted for students unable to make the in-person audition. Please fill out the above link and write in the notes “Video Submission.” Please then compose a short video including the following exercises:Barre:
Pliés, Tendus, Dégagé, Rond de Jambe, Adage, and Grand Battement
Center:
Adage, Pirouette, Petite Allegro, Grand Allegro (Pointe if applicable)

The Charlottesville Ballet Summer Intensive is a 3-week program designed for dancers ages 10 – adult who seek rigorous technical training and artistic coaching in pursuit of a professional career in dance. Each day begins with a ballet technique class followed by classes in pointe, variations, partnering, contemporary, jazz, modern dance, and enrichment. Co-Directors Sara Clayborne and Emily Hartka provide an environment focused on dancer health and wellness with no rigid physical aesthetic and where all body types are welcome.
