Mainstage One Performance Presented by PVCC
October 20, 2012 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
PVCC Presents Charlottesville Ballet
Charlottesville Ballet’s professional company presents an eclectic evening of dance featuring classical favorites and new commissioned works. The evening begins with the classical Pas de Trois from Swan Lake, then moves into the realm of visual art with a piece inspired by the work of master painter Edward Hopper. The concert continues into the world of poetry with a premiere by Pittsburgh-based choreographer Peter LeBreton Merz, who creates a multimedia piece influenced by poems of E.E. Cummings. The Mainstage One concert also features a world premiere by guest choreographer R. Colby Damon and concludes with a reprise of Audrey Fenske’s The Temple of Aeolus, which features an original score by the indie trio Mercies. Celebrate an eclectic evening of dance with C-ville’s professional ballet company!
