The Pre-Professional Program is a rigorous training program designed to prepare students for a professional career within the ballet industry. This year CBA will hold an open audition for students interested in joining the program.

WHEN: Friday, May 12 at 5:30pm (there will be a required parent meeting after the audition at 7:15pm)

WHERE: CBA Studios | 1885 Seminole Trail in Charlottesville, Virginia

AUDITION FEE: $15

The Pre-Professional Program consists of three levels into which accepted students are placed. In addition to classes in ballet technique, students are required to train in other genres such as contemporary, hip hop, jazz, tap, and character in order to enrich and diversify their dance experience.

Pre-Professional students also have an active role in Charlottesville Ballet’s outreach programming, and are expected to participate in various performances at local schools, community centers, and senior centers. This strengthens the bond between Charlottesville Ballet and the community, and gives students the opportunity to become active and engaged advocates for the arts and representatives of the Academy.
