National Society of Arts and Letters | National Awards Competition in Dance: En Pointe

Charlottesville Ballet is pleased to announce it will host The National Society of Arts and Letters 2017 Classical Ballet Competition at the CB studios on Sunday, March 12 at 2:30pm.
Eligibility:
Ballet dancers en pointe, ages 16 to 21, are invited to enter The National Society of Arts and Letters 2017 Classical Ballet Competition for a chance to win $12,000. Contestants must first compete at the local Virginia/North Carolina Chapter level on Sunday, March 12 at the Charlottesville Ballet studios. First prize will be awarded $1,000; second place $800; and third place $600.
The winner of the Virginia/North Carolina regional chapter will then proceed to the National Competition to compete for the $12,000 grand prize during the NSAL Annual Meeting from May 29 through June 3, 2017 in Boca Raton, FL. The Virginia/North Carolina Chapter will pay travel, hotel, and conference registration expenses for its chapter winner to attend the National Competition.
How to Apply:
To participate, dancers must read the attached Competition Rules & Regulations below, and submit completed application materials to NSAL Virginia/North Carolina Chapter Dance Competition Chair, Diana Freeman at [email protected] by February 25, 2017.
