And just like that, we’re home again!
This past week, Charlottesville Ballet staff members Sara Clayborne (Co-Director/Co-Founder), Emily Hartka (Co-Director/Co-Founder), Eric Mount (Development Officer), and Nina Staeben (Operations Manager), all journeyed to New York City for the team’s fourth annual Patron Manager Community Meeting.
For those of you that don’t know, Patron Manager is CB’s ticketing platform and donor database. Every time you purchase a ticket, you’re using Patron Technology (the tech process behind Patron Manager). Every time you make an online donation (thank you to all of our awesome donors!!), you’re using Patron Technology. And every time you get an e-mail that lets you know about some of our upcoming shows and events, it’s because of Patron Technology. Every year, Patron Manager has a Community Meeting where users from all over the country come together to learn new ideas, new technology, and work together to brainstorm ways to continue improving the customer and patron experience. After all, we want YOU to enjoy the entire performance experience, from the moment you purchase a ticket on our website, to the second the ballet finishes. Patron Manager helps us make this dream possible.
While the team just returned to Charlottesville yesterday, we’ve been hard at work to implement the ideas we walked away with from the meeting, and we want to keep you posted about a few things we’re excited about during this final week before Academy classes begin.
Things to Look Forward To (Yay!):
- Academic Year 2017 – 2018 classes starting next Tuesday, September 5
- Open Community Audition in Lynchburg on Saturday, September 9, for Charlottesville Ballet’s Lynchburg production of The Nutcracker
- A new program: Beer & Ballet (We’re so excited to announce we’ll be partnering with our friends at Champion Brewing for an event on Saturday, October 21 — stay tuned for more details!)
That’s our update for right now, hopefully see you all soon!
~With Ebullient Affection,
The CB Team
