A Little About Ali:
Ali Brent is a native of the Charlottesville area and grew up in Greene County. She fell in love with ballet at a young age and studied dance in Charlottesville at “The Dance Studio” under Nan Rennie and Daphne Sandridge.
Ali attended Mary Washington College (now the University of Mary Washington) and was heavily involved in the college’s dance company.
After working positions in child care and business, Ali’s interest in dance, running, and health and wellness led her to become a licensed massage therapist.
Ali met her husband in Quantico, VA while working at the Marine Corps Base. In 2005, the Brents moved back to the Greene County area to raise their family. Ali and her husband also run an online business, www.USMCSTORE.com, which sells Marine Corps products to military personnel and their families.
Ali joined the Board of Directors of Charlottesville Ballet in 2011 and has served in many volunteer roles with the professional company and the Academy. She enjoys watching her two daughters develop their own love of dance here at Charlottesville Ballet Academy. Ali is delighted to take on her new role as Assistant Principal to ensure the growth of CBA for many years to come!
