    “Excellence in Dance Education”

    Charlottesville Ballet Academy (CBA) is a new center for dance education for ages 3 through adult.  Newly opened in Stanardsville, VA,the Academy is convenient for students and families in the areas north of Charlottesville including Barboursville, Orange, Gordonsville, and Madison.

    CBA is the official training school of Charlottesville Ballet, Cville’s non-profit professional ballet company whose mission is to promote lifelong health and well-being through excellence and access to the art of ballet.

     

    Charlottesville Ballet Academy is located off of Route 33 in the former home of a beautiful dance school called The Dance Barn. Kelly Silliman, the owner of The Dance Barn, graciously donated The Dance Barn space to the Charlottesville Ballet and played an integral role in the professional company since its inception in 2007.  Now at Smith College pursuing her M.F.A. in Dance, Ms. Silliman is thrilled to see Charlottesville Ballet flourish and continue her vision of promoting dance education in the Greene County area. We are so thankful to her for making this transition possible and we look forward to working with her students at the new Charlottesville Ballet Academy.
