Mirror Mirror on the Wall…Who’s Making the Magic Happen?

In just one short week Charlottesville Ballet will present Snow White at PVCC, and we are proud to present updated costumes and sets for the 2016 production! It is thanks to a fabulous team of volunteers that our new costumes and set pieces came to fruition, and we can’t wait to premiere them on stage. We wanted to share this sneak peek with you of some of the behind-the scenes and to give a shout out to our amazing volunteers making it happen!

Some new characters and costumes! The Frogs, danced by CBA’s Pre-Professional Level One Class:

Frog Costumes by CB Volunteer Emily Reiner

New Butterfly wings for the Company:

New Butterfly wings thanks to Company Artist Rachel Seezholzer! While she’s been resting her ankle she’s been making sure the company has their wings to fly onstage next week!

The Evil Queen’s dress got an update thanks to CB Volunteer Hayley Rose, and Cooper the Corgi helped of course!

Those curtains don’t pull themselves…

Some of our amazing Tech Team members having a meeting mid-rehearsal.

And of course, we can’t leave out the most important set piece of the whole ballet!

Our amazing mirror designed and built by the Rose family!

Charlottesville Ballet would also like to thank Kathleen Muhlbauer for making the Bat costumes (you’ll have to come to the performance to see their premiere live!) and to Tom Ferrell and Ty Cooper for their tech help.

We hope you can join us next Saturday for #CBSnowWhite16 – see you at the theatre!
