Dear CBA Parents:
Liz Knutsen Photography (LKP) is thrilled to be working with CBA to provide both Individual and Group Dancer Portraits this May and June in celebration of our year-end performances! In addition to providing beautiful keepsakes of your dancers, LKP will donate 20% of all proceeds directly back to the Charlottesville Ballet Academy!
There will be three opportunities to sign up for portraits:
1) Individual Dance Portrait Information – May 17 & 18
Liz Knutsen Photography is now booking sessions for Individual Dance Portraits. The session days will be May 17th from 10am-2pm and May 18th from 12-3pm. Each session is 10 minutes and the fee is $20.
Signing up

- If you have 2 costumes/looks that you would like to be photographed in, sign up for 2 sessions back to back! This 20-minute session would be discounted to $30.
Session Payment
- Payment may be made in cash or check (payable to “Liz Knutsen”)
- Payment should be delivered to the Front Desk staff
- Payment is due before your session
Notes for Day of Session
- Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early for any final “primping”. Costumes, hair and makeup should be ready to go. 🙂
- Makeup: No makeup is required for photographs. If you prefer, CBA is fine with light day makeup, but this is completely up to parents’ preference.
- It is recommended that all nail polish, temporary tattoos and jewelry be removed for photographs. Again, this is up to parents’ preference, but please keep in mind these items will not be removed in final prints.
2) First Steps Division CLASS PHOTOS – May 31stAs part of your First Step’s Division Showcase on Saturday, May 31, 2014, Liz Knutsen Photography will be at the studio to take a Group Portrait of your Class. No signup is required.
Some Details:
- 5×7 Prints will be available for purchase for $12.
- 20% of proceeds will be donated back to CBA!
- Please preorder your prints at the front desk BEGINNING MARCH, 17th.
- Orders and Payments are due by May 31st.
- Prints will be available for pickup at the studio beginning June 23rd.
3) CBA Spring Performance: Dancing Through the Decades CLASS PHOTOS
Group Portraits Information – during Tech rehearsal, June 5th and 6th at PVCC (the performance is on Sunday, June 8 at 3:30pm).
*No signup is required. Some Details:
- 5×7 Prints will be available for purchase for $12.

- Please preorder your prints at the front desk BEGINNING MARCH, 17th.

- Prints will be available for pickup at the studio beginning June 23rd.
